New Season

So it's Fall, though here, it's like 90 degrees.  What I love most about Fall is the colors-jewel tones, rich burgundys, mustards, greens, etc. And as I do every season, I choose a color that I want to incorporate more of in my wardrobe. As soon as I saw this look back in the spring, I knew I wanted my color to be brown-dark chocolate brown to be specific, not that weird crayon dusty brown! Also, I'm really loving A-line skirts because they work well with OTK boots (which I'm also excited to wear), and all these of-the-shoulder tops.

Pink Lemonade

So I get regular emails from Aldo. Whoever puts these looks together for Aldo is amazing! Sometimes they have me looking more at the clothes than the shoes! For the first look, I was inspired by the peachy pink bermudas paired with hot pink shoes, and also the color combo of peach and cobalt.  For the second look, I just love that weird neutral color paired with yellow (one of my favorite colors).

As far as posting, I'll get back into the habit again. It's just been too hot to even try to think about posing for a pic, plus me and this natural hair journey, and the outside haven't been getting along to well :(

Spring Transition

This outfit featured is a great way to transition into spring.  For those cool mornings and breezy nights, add a cardigan.  When it gets hot, take it off! Lol! Add a hat for instant shade :)

(I promise that this will be my last blog with any winter items in it because it is truly hot now! You shouldn't need any items to help you transition into spring at this point since it's almost summer. I just got behind on this blogging thing for a minute.)

Teal/Rust F/S 15-16

Teal and rust (and all variations of these two colors) is one of my favorite color combos, and has been since I was younger.  So I was excited to see it featured in Instyle's color combo crash course that they do monthly. I've included two versions of this color combo, one for fall and one for spring.   See pics below.

On the Fringe

I came across this ad recently and realized I had a fringe vest and some flares too, so I put it together and added a lace top underneath.

Leopard Kimono

You know I love leopard and I loved this look on Ciara.  Cute, yet comfortable is the motto I live by. Plus, it gave me a chance to wear this kimono that's been collecting dust in my closet for almost two years!

Coat Dress

Honestly, I just wanted a coat dress.  I'm pretty sure it's the only form of clothing that I've never had in some form or fashion.  I added boots to my outfit because I didn't like how my skinny legs looked in stiletto heels!
